I am so pleased to extend an invitation to you to participate in my eighth annual charity golf classic on Monday June 25 2012. 

Thanks to your continued support my golf tournament contributed about $200,000 towards the expansion of the Queensway Carleton Cancer centre over its first five years and over $80,000 to the Ottawa Public Library the last two years...thank you!

The Jan Harder Charity Golf Classic will take on a special significance for me in 2012, as it will be benefiting the group of SEVin, a very special and goal-oriented charity, of which I am the honorary chair.

The group of SEVin is a collection of seven professional women in the local community that are raising funds for the Queensway Carleton Hospital. Every year over 3,000 patients will come to the Queensway Carleton Hospital and the new Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Centre for cancer diagnosis, treatment, surgery and ambulatory support.

The Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation is in the middle of a $35 million Care Grows West Campaign to raise funds in support of the expansion of healthcare for the families, businesses and communities of West Ottawa. Through this Campaign, the Queensway Carleton Hospital will be able to increase its already outstanding patient care and services and bring it all closer to home for over 400,000 people.

Funds raised by the group of SEVin will be used to purchase new equipment for the Queensway Carleton Hospital through this special campaign.
